I went to art school in Boston, after graduation, then worked for a free lance artist doing design work for Hasbro. I have been doing business as "Portraits of your Home by Shawn"(my middle name), since the summer of 1966. My last year exhibiting in the Wickford Art Festival was 2015 when I celebrated my 50th consecutive year, as an exhibitor. I was the longest exhibiting artist in the show - no wonder I got tired sometimes. :>) A fellow art student at Pilgrim High, Mary Lynch, saw my pencil drawings and suggested that I enter the Wickford Art Festival and I have her to thank for starting me on my enjoyable, successful art career, providing me with years of meeting wonderful people in the art world, particularly in the Wickford art Association and having many gracious clients..
