Gail's Story
Workplace
I work as a consultant doing government contracting work in Northern Virginia. Though my focus is training, the subject is information security. Very boring but it pays the mortgage. For fun I work part time selling sewing machines, which helps to feed my habits related to sewing and knitting.
Military

sures and changes in the political side of life. I was fortunate to be in the Navy during a time of relative peace, for the most part. My career took me to San Diego, CA, then on to the tropics of Guam, half way around the world and up to the Arctic Circle when I lived on the northern coastline of Scotland, then it was back to San Diego, on to Australia, a tour in Orlando FL, one year aboard ship in Norfolk VA, and then back to Pensacola FL. I retired from the Navy in 1995 and moved to northern VA. And I am still here outside of Washington DC.
