While I live In Ontario currently I spent most of my adult life in Calgary Alberta where I attended the University of Calgary and received a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education . I also taught school in the Yukon Territory ,a great experience professionally. I worked for the Calgary Board of Education most of my adult life until I took an early retirement in 1994. I had a wonderful ,varied career as a teacher, a specialist at the University demonstration School, a vice principal, a secondment to teach at the U of C , a specialist with The Department of Research and Testing and then Supervisor of that Department. I loved what I did but in 1991 I met the man I am now married to at my daughters wedding in Toronto and after 20 years of not being married I decided to try again. A good choice . We have have been married for 29 years and we have a great life together. I have been blessed with two talented intelligent grandchildren...both girls.while I could be accused of being biased I think you will agree they are both beautiful As some of you may know I have my grade ten in piano and I still play everyday so when I retired I decided to study the cello, ,I have always love this instrument I have always loved and wanted to play.it so here I am at my age , practicing my cello and while I will never be a Jacqueline du Pre or YO YO MA it is good for my spirit and my brain I also have taken up painting. I took a year of drawing at Sheridan College and each Tuesday and Thursday I go to a painting class. On the downside I have severe osteo arthritis and pain is my constant companion. I have had six. joint replacements ( I am sort of tired of comments like "oh your a bionic women( Anyway it all began with the replacement of the knee I injured doing gymnastics when I was 16....years and years with no cartilage on the interior of my left knee.
