Gale's Story
After attaining a degree in electronics, I served in the military at various sites (stateside and overseas). I then obtained gainful employment as an electrician at General Motors. I have acted in management levels and passed all their testing, but find it is just not lucrative enough to persue. My plan is to eventually retire as an electrician and then venture into another field of endeavor :).
2000- After attending residential construction classes, I received builders license. I then studied efficient home construction/design for 6 years. visitors stroll through the structure to view 42 displays illustrating ways they can save energy in their own home. Using no solar or wind power, my highest monthly gas/electric bill in winter 2007-2008 was $204.00 (4,800 sq. ft. of living space). Houses normally test at 2-3 stars. This one tested out at 5+ stars!
2013 Update - Currently working on a solar tracking dish. Will then be able to heat the structure on a sunny winter day day for free and enjoy free hot water the rest of the time. Will start a construction/operation blog when I have all the pieces collected, I plan to get high school and college students involved to help me fine-tune the system.
I hope all of your life adventures have been as enjoyable as mine continue to be... :)
