Gale's Story
Checking off little boxes is way too frustrating: I like to play Scrabble but, almost never do. I use to go camping and would like to get back to that. I've started walking more so I can get in shape for more Sierra Club hikes. I went on a "lite" hike recently and got very winded. (It was a1000 to 1500 elevation climb. Beware of any hike that offers a spectacular view.) It was led by an 81 year old woman. ( I was disgusted with my self) I CAN do this. I like a variety of music but also like silence to hear the birds outside. I like all kinds of movies but don't do horror anymore. Don't know how my friends would describe me. I'll ask. en keeled, not a drama queen, easy going with a sense of humor, but possibly a little off the wall. Hopefully, I have matured since High school.
I have two degrees ( I liked school). one is in history and the other in botany, Probably only retained 10% of what I learned. I really only started to learn some of this stuff when I became a h.s. science teacher. Now that I'm retired and my husband died a year ago I am ready to make some changes and start a new phase in my live. I have taken up genealogy which puts my history background to use and FORCES me to be on better terms with this computer. Life is full of surprises and getting together with old friends and classmates on line could be one of them.
