Gana's Story
Life
I have graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in agricultural and extension education in 1985. After coming back to my country Nepal, I worked for the government of Nepal as an agricultural development officer and cooperative trainer till 1996. I did my PhD in extension education with cognate in development management from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos in 1999. Capital College and Research Center (CCR) under my chairmanship in 2001. The College offers courses in science and management and is raked one of the top 10 in Nepal from students enrolment and achievement perspectives. I have recently joined the Concern Worldwide (an Irish international NGO) to work as livelihoods advisor in Pakistan.
I have been intermittently involved in formulating policies, preparing plans and evaluating projects for various multi- and bi-lateral agencies and NGOs in the areas of partnership development, food security and livelihoods enhancement.
