Gary's Story
Life has been an adventure! After high school I did the hippie thing for a year. Then moved to San Francisco, which seemed like everyones dream at the time. I have worked mostly in the medical field for the past 33 years. First as a respiratory therapist, then for 20 years as a paramedic. During that time I also managed to move across country a total of 6 times. I hate moving across town, but love moving across country. In 1989 I decided it was time to go back to school. After a couple of more side trips I finally went back and did my undergrad work in California, moved to Atlanta and completed my post-grad work at Life University. Amazingly enough, today I am Doctor Gary Boyd, a chiropractor practicing outside of Atlanta in a town named Suwanee. The part that makes it amazing is that, in high school you couldn't get me to crack a book. And math! hated it! like I said it has been a wonderful adventure. 2 (!!)years are as much fun, and that all of you have enjoyed your lives as much as I have. Keep in touch. By the way, I am still 17, and look exactly like I did in high schooL (uh huh!!), except now I have to shave occasionally.
August, 2006.... still alive and well, but now the adventure continues with a move to Costa Rica. I've been here almost a year now and life is great!!! I should have done this years ago! If anyone ever gets tired of the hectic everyday life and wants to escape to paradise, drop me a line. I will be sure to tell you the great life you are missing..... take care and keep havin' fun. g
ps: I'm not a member here right now so communication might be tricky. I have just realized that you can still send me an email, even though I am a free member. So, if anyone wants to get in touch, just send me an email through classmates and I will respond.
For anyone that is interested, I just added a picture to my bio. It is a couple of years old and shows me wearing a suit! This was for a promotional picture for my practice. Chances are you will never see me in a suit again so this might be a collectors item.
