Gary's Story

Life My life began right off the bat with marriage in October 1971, then drafted in November and leaving for Veitnam in Feb 1972. When my term was up we traveled alot, backpacking in Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Canyon, came back down to earth decided to travel RV style then on to, YEP timeshare. Went to some of the most fabulous places in the USA and abroad. Finally had two girls, Lisa 21, Laurie 19. Both are going to college. Meanwhile I started my own construction buisness in 1973, made alot of money, so I started investing, CD's at first, then on to Dean Witter. If my old lady hadn't taken half when she left with her boyfriend, I'd be better off. Turned out just that,OK. Now I get to enjoy seeing my girls, something that ...Expand for more
was denied by working my own buisness. After an accident I had surgery that ended my career in my buisness. After going back to college, I now work for Walgreens, where I can advance as far as I can, before retiring at the age of 62. I hope! Military Spent six years in the Marines, with two tours in Veitnam. Rose to the rank of Staff Sargent, Parris Island was no picnic, but compared to the mess we were in during the "conflict", things weren't very good for some good friends I made over the years. After my first deploy, along with some related injuries, I went back to help my unit advance to our objective, taking control of Nha Trang. After my last tour, I stayed state side to end my career in the military. Semper Fi.
