Graduated: '69 of couse Married: Carolyn Elaine Ingle, Christmas Day, 1969 (3 children- Melissa Cope Cassell - 1971 Tracy Cope Gibson - 1974 (Twin Girl) Stacy Coy Cope - 1974 - (Twin Son) VDOT - Surveyor - 69-72 Trooper: Virginia State Police - Badge Number - Unit 1150. From 1972/1975 (Injured in Off-Duty Motorcycle Crash April 1, 1974) - NO RETIREMENT/ - 28 days short of 5 years state time. I was down for 2 years Taught myself to walk again...no therapy, etc. except 1/2 day from Betty Horton (JB & Mrs. Kate's Daughter) at Kingsport, TN. Spent 100 days in Wise hospital. Moved to Hiltons, VA in 1975, (still active duty VSP)... stayed 11 months...moved to Salem, VA 1976-1981. Worked as a Field Inspector for the VA Worker's Comp Rating Bureau. Covered 3/4 of Virginia. 1981 - Went into Full Time Ministry as Pastor (1st assignment - McDowell Co., WV) Coalwood - Home of the Oct. Sky movie. Jim Carroll (Scott Co. State Farm Agent) was the real O'Dell in the movie...A GREAT FRIEND. I meet all of them when I was flying for the Civil Air Patrol as a Private Pilot - Mission Transport Pilot/Search & Rescue (AUX-USAF)- Oh, yeah, that FAA pilot's license came in 1990...Trained near Baltimore.
