Gary's Story
Well, lemmee see, after college, in the heart of the Raygun depression, I spend 2+ years consulting before I found a real job. And, trust me on this, taking BART and busses if you're in a wheelchair (etc), is not very easy. --Hey, I've already told this story and it has been reprinted both ink+paper and on the web. geek head. Still, what I jotted down in the wee hours on the PDP 11/70 about the stuff we all go thru kept me going. Kept me from falling mute and kept me hacking away. After my many, many lifetimes and moving billion && billions of time, I kept working untiil my shoulder completely dislocated. This stuff --and, of course my 12-year-old daughter--keeps me going.
What *old* friends? Old??! 23+26 is still < 50. I'd hope to be remembered as a serious and dedicated risk-taker. Someone who survived Cal... !!
