Most of you probably remember as me "Opie" (thanks Scott Cates RIP), well that "nickname" didn't stick, no one has called me "Opie" for over 40 years. Hillview was integral in helping me get my act together, when I had enough credits I chose to graduate with my Hillview family, not return to Tustin High for the "status" ~ Credit where credit's due! Landed on Classmates looking for my best friend Johnny Gordon, we'd lost contact over the last 20 years ~ Sadly it appears I was too late, as it seems Johnny Jr. cashed in his chips in 2020, before we could reconnect one last time :-( I have many, many fond memories of Hillview, particularly Mr. Amdon & Mr. Lucas, especially the latter due to his tremendous help with my youngest brother, Adam, who was ixnayed from Tustin's "regular" school system, but thanks to the TLC of Mr. Lucas' & Hillview's teachers, Adam turned his life around, just as I did.
