Gary's Story
Wow, so much to tell. Where do I begin? Left Akron for Florida right after graduation and never looked back. Got my MS in marine biology at FSU and my DVM from UF in 1984. Have my own small animal veterinary clinic in Port Charlotte. Helped rescue many sick and injured dolphins. Live in Nokomis 1/2 mile from the Gulf of Mexico. Just survived Hurricane Ian and Irma and Charlie before that! But I wouldn't live anywhere else. I love the warm weather and sun and hate the cold! Two year cancer survivor from stage 3 melanoma (probably too much of this FL sun)!

m Golden Retriever named Maggie Mae. Kat is a surgical nurse in Sarasota.
My/our hobbies include boating, kayaking, SUP, bicycle riding and hiking. We especially love to go to our national parks out West or up in Canada (Alberta and BC). Even climbed a few 14ers in Colorado. I also love ice hockey - played in a men's league until about 60 yo. Of course my favorite team is the Lightning! Go Bolts!
Well, that's it in a nutshell. Will add more later perhaps. Joined this site out of curiosity. So far it has been pretty cool remembering some of the names and faces. Hope everyone is happy and in good health. Would love to hear from anybody that recognizes me.
