Gary's Story
Graduation in 1969 was finally over and my senior year (though bumpy here and there) was finally over. I decided to go to Panama City,Florida to attend a small junior college and headed South. I attended for a year or so, dropped out and became a beach (bum) lifeguard for several years and took up surfing. In 1974 I moved to Cocoa Beach on the East Coast with my girlfriend Marta and lived there several years doing hardly nothing but work and surf. rbrushing t-shirts and painting murals. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the late seventies and married. I worked for a structural engineering company as a draftsman and me and my wife had two sons. They are both pharmacists now living in Atlanta. That marriage ended and in the late 80's I returned to Panama City Beach. I resumed my art career and met my second wife (Karen) who was from Louisville, Kentucky and has a son also. We've been married for 19 years and we live near the beach with our cats. Art consumes my time along with playing tennis and occasionally surfing. We also enjoy traveling when we get the chance. Well, I'll close this brief comment and I hope everyone from the class of '69 is doing well and happy, it would be nice to hear from my old friend Jim Cole and anyone else who visits this online site. Take care.
