Gary's Story

OK. I lived in Flagstaff from Aug. 1981 through Jan. 1984. Weird autistic dude who didn't have many friends (asperger's) ... I had attended EFJHS from 1981-1983 and also a semester of Coconino 1983-JAN 1984. This one semester at Coconino proved to be the best time I ever had in any school that I had attended. I wish things worked out differently than they did, but when you are 15 you don't have much say in what goes on in your world. Coconino was special, because throughout my life (and including now) I've felt like an alien or outcast - and the staff at Coconino showed me there was another way. I was enrolled in these schools under the name Gary Rambo. Long story, but that isn't my actual name (and was not then, at the time - but for my Flagstaff existence, it was). If anyone, for whatever reason, wanted to try to search me by that name and was not able to, this is why. I wonder if anyone here will remember me. ----8><---- Begin automatic copy-and-paste from my 4 year old Facebook about page here ----8><------ Gary is from Phoenix, Arizona. Gary's schools include Coconino High School. Music Gary likes includes Richard Jeni, Pink Floyd, Gibson Guitar. Books Gary likes include The Stand. Movies Gary likes include Inglourious Basterds. More about Gary:"Gee, what does this do? Yes I am INTJ. Gary's List of Undeniable Truths #1. The person (singular) is intelligent, people (plural) are not. #2. ...Expand for more
Anything can be fixed, given enough interest or investment. #3. Politics are the repository of people who have no valid ideas on their own. #4. The 'liberal' (United States definition) is a person who has not emerged from childhood. Their ideas may be genuine, but are not backed with reason or sound logic. #5. You can achieve anything you set your mind to, and once you make that decision, nothing is too big nor too small to be considered. #6. Those who feel they have to throw around credentials to win an argument are not worthy of those credentials to which they espouse. #7. Insanity is trying to fix things which are not broken. #8. Logic is a gift that too many people are unable to understand. #9. Liberals (United States definition) are too self-centered to understand exactly what 'greater good' actually means. #10. Never stop learning about those around you, for if you are to be too trusting, you will find yourself regretting it. Trust but verify. #11. You must always clearly define your position, and then stick to it. #12. Never try to undertake a project for which you are clearly unprepared for. #13. Claiming knowledge that is non-existant is claiming the title of 'fool'. Be knowledgeable in what interests you, but do not claim knowledge you don't have. #14. Freedom isn't free; it is the hardest thing to work for, and achieve. #15. True happiness is never defined for you by other people. #16. A true friend never bases their friendship on what you can do for them or by what they can do for you. #17. Common sense, isn't. Think about that.".
