Gary's Story
Married Sue McNorton (Ray Class of '66). Four Children, One Grandchild. They are all terrific.
College
Graduated from the University of Texas in 1974 and received an MBA from Texas A&I at CC (now A&M at CC) in 1976. Taken several courses in negotiation, product development and strategy at Harvard. Work
Spent most of my career as a newspaper business executive. Retired in 2007 from the Hearst Corporation after serving as Senior VP at the Houston Chronicle and finally as Exec. VP, Assoc. Publisher and GM of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Currently CEO of my consulting Company GWR Research and I am a Senior Professor of Practice teaching MBA classes at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
