Gary's Story

I grew up in Middleburg Heights and moved to Strongsville in 8th grade. Ties to both areas have always remained tight. I hope to attend both Strongsville and Berea/Midpark 50th anniversaries. I have clear special memories of the "kids" I knew in 50's and 60's. Our Rock 'n Roll music still plays in my head. It was the very best of times to grow up. In so many ways it remains only a yesterday away. Married the girl who lived 2 doors away in 1968 - Elaine Mejak. Two daughters (both teachers), terrific son-in-laws and 5 unbelievable grandkids. family who share strong values of love and believe in goodness toward others. It doesn't get much better. Elaine became an RN and has graduated to professional Grandmother. She gets better and better as the years roll by. I have Masters in Social Sciences and taught in Glendale, CA. Since 1976 I've been self-employed doing financial planning mostly with educators. I enjoy my work and I will continue as long as I can read the ticker tape. Actor son-in-law Parry Shen plays the part of "bad" Brad on General Hospital.
