Life
Born in Ottumwa, IA. Attended Horace Mann Elementary from Kindergarten through 4th grade. Moved to Des Moines in 1946 and attended Casady School and Washington Irving Jr. High. Moved to CA. in 1951 from Iowa. Attended Whittier High School. Married 6/56 to Shirley Thompson ('57 Santa Fe). Divorced 1966. Two sons. I joined LAPD in 1958. Remarried '67. Wife , Linda. rked for Honda motorcycle co. for 20 years. Retired in 1999. Worked for company that promotes motorcycle rallies '99 to '01. Now, "really" retired. Still playing drums in my band. Legally separated from wife and reconnected with classmate, Ruthie Pierce Westlund, living in Vancouver, WA, and loving it!! Ruthie and I are now the coordinators for our Whittier High School class reunions for the class of 1955.
