Gary's Story
My Life - uh-huh - Right!
I always wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I make a great cowboy.
Well now - with that said, let's start with now:
I currently live in San Fabian, Pangasinan, Philippines having moved here from Alaska in Sept of 2010. In the past I have lived in many places: Alaska - Anchorage; Idaho - Lewiston; Washington - Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island; Oregon -Portland, Oregon City, Beaverton and Gresham; Texas - Irving and Euless; S Korea - Seoul and Jeonju, Vietnam - Saigon. It's been fun.
My current Workplace:
(I now semi-retired - wouldn't have it any other way. Looking to start a business here in the Philippines soon.
(My Resume is three pages long, so I have to abrieveate it for people or they won't read it - but it's been one heck of a ride and fun journey, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.)
Military
I joined the US Army in 1960 and served as a Transportation Logistics Speacilist.
During that time I was stationed at:
Fort Ord, CA
Fort Lewis, WA
Yakima Firing Center, Yakima, WA
Fort Irwin - US Army Desert Training Center, CA
Ingrandes General Logistics Depot, Ingrandes, France (1963 to 1964)
Taylor Barracks and Turley Barracks in Mannheim Germany (1964 to 1966)
I was honorably discarged at Fort hamilton, New York City in 1966.
Since then I've (almost) done it all: Owned and operated several small businesses in Washington and Oregon and also an offshore company (located on the Isle of Man) as a financial consultant for humanatarian infrastructure projects.
My Love life:
I've been married three times and have three grown children.
I am now in a relationship with Dina the beautiful lady in my profile picture. (Marriage is planned for the spring of 2011)
My Spiritual side:
I attended the "Alaska Center for Spiritual Living" - and I sang in the choir sometimes - and I loved it.
The love of my life now is music:
Learning to play Electric my 'Roland' piano, organ and Music Work Station. I love to sing karaok...Expand for more
e (taking lessons) and dance - ballroom type.
My Travels:
And, I've been around the world more than once:
USA - 36 states and Canada;
West Africa - Ghana, Nigeria;
Europe - France, Luxumburg, Germany, Austria;
Asia - Philippines, Vietnam, S Korea, Tiawan;
S Pacific - Australia.
It's a wonderful place - this planet earth, and for the most part the people who live here are really great. There is more good and love out there than there is bad in the world - If all you see is the bad, then you need to look within and discover and overcome your own personal parasite "Maya".
I'll add more next time I'm online . . . .
Blessings to you,
Gary
Artist of the spirit
My Spiritual Path:
As (an Artist of the Spirit) a Toltec Master I always do my best to try and live my life by these four simple but powertful Four Agreements:
To always try:
1. To be Impeccable With My (Your) Word - Always Speak with integrity. Say only what I (you) mean. Avoid using the word to speak against my (your) self or to gossip about others. Use the power of my (your) word in the direction of truth and love.
2. Don't Take Anything Personally -
Nothing others do is because of me (you). What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When I am (you are) immune to the opinions and actions of others, I (you) won't be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Don't Make Assumptions -
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what I (you) really want. Communicate with others as clearly as I (you) can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, I (you) can completely transform my (your) life.
4. Always Do Your Best -
My (Your) best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when I am (you are) healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do my (your) best, and I (you) will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
The 5th agreement is to -
Always do my (your) best to: to Be Impeccable With My (Your) Word; Don't Take Anything Personally; Don't Make Assumptions and Always Do my (Your) Best.
And so it is.
