Gary's Story
Life
A never ending journey. Great childhood with a great family support system. After a reasonably successful atheletic career in high school. I moved on to College. Some bad desicions on my part, first college choice was not what I expected. Did well in sports, not as well as expected in a curriculum I did not enjoy. Ceramic engineering at Alfred University, go figure. My second choice was much more appropriate for my true desires at the time. At Roberts Wesleyan College, I took Liberal Arts and Business. However the military draft got me and I spent 6 yrs 9mo and 28 days in the Navy. Most of it in the Nuclear Power Program. The beginning of another poor decision on my part occurred early in my Navy career. My first marraige. Lasted almost 15 yrs, but never happy. I did get a great daughter out of it. Learned a lot about relationships. After the Navy I settled in Rising Sun Maryland and went to work for Amtrak in Philadelphia. A great job with lots of benefits. ss for 2 1/2 yrs. After my divorce,my daughter and I moved to Tallahassee Fl. My sister was there. Sold Mobile homes for a short while. Then went into the car business. Met my dream girl and have been gloriously happy(most of the time)lol ever since in my relationship. We got married after 6 yrs and have been married for almost 9 years and have a 14 yr old son together. After burning out on the car business after almost 16 yrs, I went into Real Estate three years ago. Best career move I have made. My wife(Sandra) and I now work together for a great company. Exit Realty NFI in Pensacola FL. I stayed active in teams sports until about 1998. I now have been taking Taekwondo and am currently a Sr. Purple(90% to black). I recently competed in the National ITA tournament in Baton Rouge and got the bronze medal in my age group in free form and sparring. My most sincere belief is that I have put on this planet for a reason and EVERYTHING happens for a reason. This is only the short version of what has gone on. I miss the class of 69 and all the fun we had.
