Gavin's Story
It's been interesting since high school to say the least. I went to college at Maryland and got a degree in Criminal Justice/Psychology, then got a job as a police officer for George Washington University. While there I went on for a masters and pretty much all of my Ph.D. (except my dissertation) in counseling. For the next 8 years I was doing clinical counseling with employee assistance programs where I also crossed into the realm of program management/quality assurance. Needless to say, it was a tough 8 years and I kinda burnt myself out with the counseling, so I decided to make a bit of a career change. dies, and now work as a criminal intelligence analyst. I figured that I have done well for a lot of people, helped enough people off roof tops and bridges, and that it was time to move on to something else that I would get enjoyment out of but also not want to drink myself silly every night. It was a good decision and I am much happier for it. Since I am not having to counsel couples and families anymore, I think I am starting to have a positive change towards my outlook with regards to getting into a serious relationship ;-) Aside from that, I love scuba diving and try to do that as much as I can. I got certified as a divemaster a few years back and help teach scuba classes.
