Gay's Story
Life
My first 20 years were comsumed by education,both intellectual and emotionally. During this time I became engaged to my childhood sweetheart,Buck. Then, due to circumstances beyond our control,I was forced to break our
engagement. Following my college graduation,I was married to a veterinarian from Michigan, and we soon had six children. I continued to teach in different capacities from
K through college,and completed my MA degree. In 1972 we divorced, which was a very negative experience for m...Expand for more
e. In 1975 I remarried,which lasted for 27years. Meanwhile, I still continued to teach and put all the girls through college.(My son was killed in a motorcycle accident while in the Navy.) Then, in 2002,Buck's wife passed away. We were reunited several months later. We then married in Maui,May 2003. This was the fulfullment of a dream that we had had for 50 years. We have been extremely happy ever since! Oh, yes,I did finally quit teaching,and am learning
what is meant by "Living Happily Ever After."
