I attended Fernbank school. 1st thru 4th grade Teachers..Mrs Rexroad, Mrs Wood, Mrs Chamberlain, Mrs A???.. lived on Stone Road. favorite things we did was the 'rock cliff" and swinging on the grapevines..eating honeysuckle and riding the postal truck with "Lee" the post man , following the mosquito truck...can you believe this? had a dog named Gypsy friends Linda Whisner, Debbie Miller, Judy Reed, KathyEllison (scary Friday night movies at her house) first boyfriend Bobby Wright... :) I remember President Kennedy was killed Halloween with pillow sacks full of candy and dad's 58 Chevy Preparing the bomb shelter during the Cuban missile event Moved to Sugar Creek area... lived behind the school, the Sugar Creek bridge where all the "bad boys" hung out....I had to walk fast across that bridge..no loitering. Those boys sure were cute.. :) the swings and merry-go- around was my favorite my uncle Martin had the barber shop on that street and my grandmother and great grandmother lived close by teachers" Mrs Blackshire (she hit me with ruler on my hand), Maddy was janitor, Mrs Wood, she hired me to clean her house I helped in the kitchen, so my brother and I could get lunch, my dad was sick and hospit...Expand for more
