Workplace
After staying at home with our 4 children, job hunting proved quite an experience. Two companies and then the piece de resistance, the Provincial Government (Provinvial Welfare office). After 18 years I retired in January as an Income Support Specialist, assisting people with both physical and mental disabilities. It was a great job met and still have alot of good friends. of our more vulnerable citizens. It was an humbling experience and I really was suprised to be nominated and to win/accept this honour. Now I am spending a lot of time with our 6 grandchildren ages 9 to 3 (5 girls and 1 chariming young man). Paul retired from Bell in 1998 after 35 years and then spent another 8 with Mitel Corporation and then retired again. So now we can come and go as we please just back from a 3 week vacation in BC, and looking forward to spending time in Palm Springs and San Diego in March 2008.
