Gaylen (Earl)'s Story
The Harvey JOHNSON family lived just south of Weyburn, Sask. My brothers are Graham (Irrican.Alta) Barry (Chilliwack BC) and Linda (n/ - Ausum) in Candle Lake SK. My folks passed away - Dad (Harvey) in 1990 and my mother (Lydia) in 2011 at a ripe young age of 96.
I reside in Nanaimo, BC. and have since 1998. I joined the RCMP and was posted to BC at Kelowna in 1965. In 1972 I married Bev Begg and we resided in Kamloops, BC where I was incharge of the City Traffic Div. In 1973 I left the Force to go into business for my (our) selves but also worked as a Rep for a Oil Company for 2 years.
Our business lead us to Surrey, BC in 1990 and then in 1998 Bev and I bought a College in Nanaimo. We expanded that to include a Campbell River campus, which we operated and then sold in 2008. As of Feb 2011 we sold the Nanaimo College and have been wandering around the country and taking "wife inspired trips" to places like Up the Amazon River and cruising oceans and rivers. Hardly leaves time to cut the grass at home.

atched with a terrific 7 year old (Jessica) back in 1985. In 2008 Jessica moved to Nanaimo, finished her nursing at VIU and took up residence in our suite in the home. She is the Property Protecter when we are away on excursions into the wild unknown.
In 2011 we MH'ed back to Weyburn for the 50 year Class Reunion.. What a blast!. plus the local classmates did such a tremendous job of organizing it's super success.
Surprisingly everyone was distiquishable in our short journey down the Trail of Youth. I would certainly encourage everyone to go to one of these. There is no thoughts of how one did in life compared to the other guy... just everyone glad to have made it that far! (chuckle!) -

PS: I changed my name to Earl when I joined the RCMP because I didn't need 500 recruits calling me "Gay" -or Gayleen" etc like the geometry teacher used to but now I wouldn't mind having the name Gaylen back so if that is what you know me as that - use it. I answer to both - especially a meal time..
