Gayna's Story
Life
I left NS in 78 and moved to Ottawa where I finished highschool and went to college. Then I worked for a year for an environmental lobby group concerned with gas and oil exploration in the canadian arctic. After that I took a year off and travelled throughout New Zealand. I fell in love with the country...then ran out of money and had to return home to work. The intention was of course, to save up enough to go back and do the whole thing again...lol. However, life gets in the way and after I returned... I ended up married and living in the Toronto area. I have three kids... my oldest daughter turns 19 shortly. She is a fine arts student at UBC Kelowna Campus. I also have two teenage sons...ages 15 and 13. ntario where I live with my x's uncle (who now has alzheimer's and cannot be left alone), my two sons, my two dogs, my two cats.... and the 12 goldfish who live in the back yard pond I dug out myself this past spring. I am back at school again... taking on line courses thru an Alberta university that is associated with UBC. I can't attend regular classes because my uncle can't be left alone at the moment. In time...all things change. My boys will leave, as my daughter has... and I will need a life at the end of it. This is my focus at the moment. Life after family. I have no idea what shape that will take at the moment...but I am not much of a winter person...so I may go back to my original life plan and turn my thoughts towards a pleasant retirement in New Zealand or Auzzie. Nice thoughts eh? I will win this one for sure. Oh yes... and can someone please tell David Hampson that I am still as flat chested as the day we were on our way home from school for lunch and he lifted his shirt and asked me if I was jealous...LOLOLOL... burn!
