Life
Attended Mercer University after graduating from FVHS, but decided I'd rather be a secretary, so moved to Atlanta and started work for Standard Oil Co. (KY), now Chevron. This is where I met my husband, Jim. We married in 1960, and will celebrate our 45th anniversary in 2005. We have two children, a girl (Terri) and a boy (Jim, Jr.) Terri, recently divorced, has two children, Kyle (age 16) and Sammi (age 14). After living in Atlanta, Jim was transferred to Macon, GA, then back to Atlanta, then to Tampa, FL. He left Chevron to become a jobber for them for 17 years. Having visited Las Vegas numerous times, when the oil business started going to mini-marts, we decided to sell out and move to Vegas, where we've now been for 15 years. I'm now retired - from Sprint Local Phone Co. - and Jim has his own convention exhibit business.
