Gene's Story

I went to West Seneca West, Class of 77. I joined the United State Coast Guard. I spent 23 yrs in the service. Station from Kodiak AK on the WEMC-619 Confidence, to Yorktown VA for School, to Long Island, NY to Station Fire Island Search and Rescues(SAR), Cape Hatteras, NC as Lighthouse Keeper, to Boothbay Harbor, ME. , Georgetown, SC at SAR Station Georgetown, to Kodiak, AK on WEMC-38 Strois, to Rockland, ME. to SAR Station Rockland, to Baltimore, MD Engineering Logistics Center, Logistic for all the US Coast Guard. Then I switched jobs into heavy equipment operator to Site Supervisor. I was forced in to retirement do to injuries received while I was in the USCG.
