Gentry's Story

Life Lets See, where Do I begin... Graduated from Big BHS. Worked at Scronic for the next few months and then Headed to Dallas to Study at the Art Institute of Dallas. Graduated in 1991, and Headed to Las Vegas with my Father - My Mom had aready moved and was living in Bakersfield, California. Got a Job at an advertising agency and spent the next 8 years working on Political Campaings and Hotel Casino's. Got Bored and wanted to work on different stuff, so I got a job in Palo Alto California - (Bay Area) That lasted for about 3 years, untill the dotcom bust - then I got another agency job back in Las Vegas - That turned into a sweat shop and for the first time - I hated doing advertising. I then made a complete career change - I joined a friend who was in the Mortgage business. I have been doing that for the past year - and it's great. I'm an account executive for a lending company - so, I get to work from home and make office visits and great credit...Expand for more
reports and decide what we can offer that person ( a home loan) Never thought I would be doing this type of work - but it's real rewarding. The rest of my family are ok - Dad Still live here in Vegas. Tyler, His wife and son just moved to Colorado Springs - so far they seem to like it there. The biggest news is, my mom past away march of this year - She had a liver transplant 8 years ago. She did great for the first 5, but the last 3 really was rough. She was such a fighter. It still doesn't seem real to me - it's only been 3 months (june 04) and I catch myself wanting to call her and give her an update or ask if she had seen a certain show. I don't have any major trips coming up - but we are trying to get back to see an OU football game, I want to go to Chicago and Back to Rhode Island to visit a friend. Being in vegas you get use to all the action (not that we do anything) it's just neat to know it's there - That's all for now - Gentry
