Geoffrey's Story
Life
Married Leslie Thayer (B.A.Hamilton College, '83; M.A. Smith College, '95) in 1983. We have two boys (Ben, age 20, and Nathaniel, age 19) and a daughter, Katie, age 16.
After college, spent two years in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, snorkeling and teaching music. Christian faith came alive while I was there. Two years in Virginia Beach in graduate school. oved to Quebec to do ministry in outport fishing villages.
Was ordained in the Anglican Church in Canada in 1987, and worked in remote fishing villages in northern Quebec for three of our five years in Quebec. Served at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Easthampton, MA, from 1990-1998. Now working with youth and families at Advent Episcopal Church in West Bloomfield, MI, since 1998.
Love to sing in choral groups, fish for trout, and do a little wood working when time allows. Hope all is well with you folks!
