Hey this is george austin,class of '70.Those who knew me probably remember that i wasn't in the senior class because i went in the army in the middle of my junior year.I went to vietnam and made it back to cookeville in july 1971.I stayed home about two weeks(my mom moved to alabama while i was away)and then started traveling ending up in richmond va going to Vir Com Univ. for a year , then going to east tn st univ. for a year.Wound up in New York City for five years then moved to murfreesboro for a year and a half and then to Kingsport where i have been livng since the begining of 1986.I'm married,have two sons,25and21 and both play in my blues band as the bass and drummer.I have been doing drywall and remodeling for a living and playing music on the weekends and sometimes on the weekdays.The picture on my profile is me ,my cousin vicki,and Bettye LaVette(blues singer- look her up on the web).I opened for Bettye at her concert here in Kingsport june'09.What a great singer and a sweet person.Ever since those days of going ...Expand for more
