George's Story
Life
I was sort of the odd-ball, new kid in
town when I attended my first (and
senior year) at Mel High. Coming from
Canada I didn't fit in with the African
American community in the school, nor
was I a surfer at the time. I wasn't a
prep, so I didn't fit in there, I could
have been a jock but because It was my
first time there I couln't join any of
the teams, play in the band, write for
the newspaper, or participate in student
government like I did in my previous
school. I made a name for myself though
and I was pretty much a teachers ...Expand for more
pet.
After graduation I was selected to
attend the leadership confrence in
Wekiva Springs to represent my class, I
graduated from college and began my life
as a grown up. I found the perfect girl,
had a couple of kids, lost the perfect
girl (who took the house and everything
else) and found myself having to start
over. Started my own business (Bailey's
Popcorn Cafe) and pray that I stay
strong and follow the narrow road to
lead me to the promise land. If you
