The story that I can write of the things I have experienced can be told in an exciting or a boring manner. For the purpose of this website, I am going to write a brief recap for anyone whom cares to read it. After high school I took the summer and relaxed like most everyone else getting ready to go to college. The only difference is that when September rolled around, I wasn't busy learning my way around some new college campus, I was getting woken up at 3 or 4 in the morning and being yelled at for something that was no ones fault. That's right, I joined the navy. And those first few days, you really had to remember or you would wonder where the hell you were. Long days of push-ups, running, and pointless work followed until December when I left and went to my first navy school. Then I spent the next year and half being trained on how to operate a nuclear reactor. That's right, more school, just like everyone else, just at a pace most people would hate. I finished my nuclear training just like every navy nuc, except that after my training I went the Naval Academy Prep School. But of course, I decided to leave the prep school and join the fleet. This choice was partly chosen due to the love of my life at the time. Either way, after my short stop at the prep school, I was stationed in Norfolk, VA onboard the USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723).
