George's Story
Life
I graduated from high school as a Mid-term grad back in Dec 1980. I joined the Army shortly after high school as I felt there was nothing in Manati, more so Luchetti (Puerto Rico) for me. I thought I would come back and marry my high school sweet heart (Nancy Maldonado), to find out that she had other plans. I served 23 great years in the Army and retired as a E8/Master Sergeant. I was station a couple of times overseas and spent many of my years stateside as a recruiter. I retired from the Army back on 1 Sep 2003. Married twice and have 4 children (ages 23, 21, 8 and 3). Today I work for a great online university (Grantham University) in Kansas City, MO. I have been with the university for 4 years and currently serving as the universities Director of VA-Military Affairs.
School
While in High School- I had a lot of fun. I spent a lot of time with local friend such as Jose Panizo, Carlos Santiago, David Rolon, David Rivera, Luis Cruzado, Nancy Maldonado, Ivette Colon, Eggie Figaroa
Had a serious crush on a girl who I consider a great friend today (Nancy Maldonado)- she did me wrong guys- But I am well off today (Smile)

College
My college life was pretty much spent in a few universities within the New Orleans area, a few online schools and via seminars/CLEP tests. Who ever believes you can't get a quality education these days...because they are so busy, are fooling themselves.
Workplace
Was in the Army from 1980-2003 and join the Grantham University family shortly after retirement, where I am currently serving there as their Director of VA-Military Affairs. To learn more about Grantham, go on line a goggle Grantham University
Military
Basic Tng and AIT at Fort Dix, NJ. First duty station was also Fort Dix. PCS'd to Germany and was station in the Stuggart area. PCS'd to Fort Polk, LA. Shortly thereafter I ended back in Germany, this time to the Aschaffenburg area. Got picked up for recruiting duty and was station in New Orleans, La; Fort Knox, KY; Fort Walton Beach, FL; Fort Jackson, SC; and I found my way back New Orleans. After two and half years there, I decided it was time to retire and allow the younger generation to take over my freedom security watch
