George's Story

Life For anyone out there that remembers me...I just want you to know that I have finally settled down ... ok, maybe not Completely. Would you believe a little? How about ... Geographically? As in no more moving...at least for a while. But, then again, who really knows? After graduating college, I had my own furniture store for about seven years. After that, I did some construction work and now I manage a manufacturing/wholesale/retail cast aluminum product business. I have been there 18 years. I was married for 5 years, but I got divorced February 2001 (Finalized April 2002). I have two sons (by marriage) Christopher (23) and Aaron (18). As of late, I have been getting more involved in my career, which leaves very little time to find the ever elusive girl of my dreams (actually I thought I did find her, but like Gilbert and Sullivan said, " Things are seldom what they seem. Skim milk masquerades as cream.....), and the one consistant true love of my life...music. I have also contacted some of my friends from Fohi...Steve Henderson, Greg Briggs, Jan Crowley, and Darla Barron to name a few. More recently, I have been in contact with Nancy Ingalls (I'm sorry I haven't responded Nancy! My computer has given me fits!!!), and Phyllis May. Life is so funny. Just when you think you have it all figured out, the bottom drops out. Then, when you least expect it, Someone comes into your life and even though you don't have any expectations, it turns out to be more than you ever imagined!! I would love to hear from anyone that remembers me. Unfortunately I only got to attend Fohi for one year, but maybe you remember me from Alder Jr. High or one of the other 273,649 schools (just a slight exaggeration) I attended. If so...contact me anytime! George Ps I have had e mail messages from a few people, but really None that I Would Have more or less "Expected". And Photos ... What's Up With THAT? To the very few that do post photos, thank you ... but is everyone afraid of their THEN pictures or What???? And to the multitudes with NO photos, the Witness Protection Program Can Not, Nor Will It...Save You! ; ) C'mon people! Get with the program!!! ******* Here is a Long Overdue Update!!!!! ******* Thanks to Classmates.com I actually did find the ...Expand for more
girl of my dreams (and I'm not talking nightmares!). She is the most amazing person I have ever (re)met and the love we have found is truly what Fairy Tales are made of. She is the most beautiful girl I have ever known ... and I'm not just refering to the fact that she is drop dead gorgeous. She has an inner beauty the likes of which I have never seen. We have a connection that rarely happens. Honestly, I think you have a better chance of winning the lottery than finding your True Soulmate. But I, for one, feel like I have hit the lottery! I feel like that every day! I contacted her in January 2007 via Classmates. We started e mailing, then talking on the phone. I believe before we actually saw each other (April 2007) again in over 30 years, we were both in love. We went to Fohi's 30 year reunion together (where I asked her to go steady with me and I gave her my Fohi class ring! ... oh yeah, she said Yes!). We got engaged over the Christmas Holidays and though we live some distance apart, we see each other several days each week. This has been and continues to be the greatest love story ever told ... and this is just the Beginning!!!!! Stay Tuned! Ps The Love of my Life is Phyllis May! Pps The Saga Continues ... After 20 years of running a business and being in the same job, my life again took a turn. Due to the deteriorating state of the economy, I have made a career change. As of September 2008 I started substitute teaching at a high school (I worked every day at the same school last year) near where I live. The school is culturally diverse and we have had a few instances (riots), but growing in Fontana prepared me pretty well for this endeavor ... lol. The school brought me back again long term again this year, some would say because of my teaching ability, but others have said I'm only there for added security ;) (I have been training in Tai Kwan Do for almost two years ... Phyllis teaches it as well as kick boxing! ... and I also have a couple of certifications in CDT personal safety training) I am also back in school myself going for my Masters Degree in Education ... And Phyllis and her 16 year old son Chris just moved from the beach in with me in the high desert. Who could have ever imagined life would be like this ???
