George's Story
Hello everyone. I thought id write something here but dont know where to begin. I have such fond memories of my time at LMHS. I still live on Long Island and love it. have 3 kids. My daughter Kathleen is 23, Sean is 21 and Ryan is 19. Im glad to have had them while I was young. They really are great kids. I work at the post office for the last 22 years and cant wait to retire. Retire? Wow! That sounds so strange. I still love the Beatles and have a massive Beatles collection. I buy and sell records on ebay and love doing it. I have coached one of the top travel baseball teams in Nassau for the last 12 years. Im a huge Yankees fan. Its so cool to be able to connect with people like you as I am very nostalgic. I think back to the old days often. They were so care free. Lost my mom about 3 years ago and right now dad just had major cancer surgery and ive taken 3 months off of work to care for him. KIDS WOULD AGREE). Not uptight like I remember parents being when we were younger. Although I dont think ill ever get what kids see in rap. I mean how could you listen to that crap when you could be listening to The Beatles , Stones, The Who, Led Zep, Neil Young, CSNY, Yes etc. I still listen to all that stuff. I cant wait for the next reunion. I made the first 2 and would recommend everyone to go. I know this is kind of all over the place but so is my life! Im still lucky enough to talk to alot of my old friends. Charlie Mitchell has been one of my closest friends since 7th grade and we talk all the time. Still talk to my friends from the South Village Green quite a bit. Anyway thats about it. Id love to hear from anyone who wants to connect. Im glad to see alot of us are doing okay and have survived. Id like to raisa toast in honor of those of our classmates who didnt make it this far. They deserve to be mentioned also. Take Care for now and hope to hear from you soon.
