Life Gruaduated June 67,Joined Air Force Feb 68,served in Vietnam 69-70,shipped to California, got married Sept 70.First daughter born in Cal;1971.Came home to N.J. in 72. Went to aircraft maintenance school and graduated Nov 74.Second daughter born 75.Got job with Public Service Electric and Gas.Worked with them for 30 yrs and bought home in EDison, than sold that and bought a home in Hillsbourough N.J. in 97.After 32 yrs of marriage my wife want to be on her own and asked me to leave, which I did. That was April 03,got my own apartment in Old Bridge close to my oldest daughter who was married and living in So. Amboy. My youngest daughter and her fiance bought a home in Maine in May of 04.Unfortunately for me my old war wounds forced me to retire in May05.By than my oldest daughter had moved to Maine also to get out of N.J. So its a no brainer,I moved to Maine to be near my daughters and their others and my grandaughter who has me wraped around her little pinky finger. As for my ex,she stayed in N.J. to be near her two sisters and we got divorced in March 04? Right now I am in the process of finallizing a deal on buying a home for me and my daughter, basically an in-law combo? It made me feel proud to see that both my girls wanted me to move in with them but I weighed all my options and ...Expand for more
all of us agreed on a good solution. And here I am up in Maine doing volunteer work, making new friends and really enjoying life and what it has to offer. My sisters still live in N.J;but my family is up here in Maine and I love it. Met a nice lady up here in August 07. She was born and raised in Maine. So we have been enjoying retirement and seeing what life has to offer. We both love the idea of not wanting to get married, but just having companionship. I always wanted to be a draftsmen when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. my favorite way to relax is to go shopping or try cooking something new. my biggest hero was Major Yates who died sept13,1969 in Vietnam The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is judy french, because my first girl friend &kiss. Love to watch the NY Giants. My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old. I was so completely wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm caring, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as easy going. My first job was at ernies deli, where I got paid $1.00hr to stock shelves. What I remember most about it is friendly atmosphere. many memories of childhood in Hoboken with my older brother
