George's Story
Life
After leaving High School, I spent the next few years at UBC where I graduated in 1977 with a business degree. I started my working career a few months later at Ford Motor Co of Canada at the Lake City office in Burnaby,which was just up the street from my family home. Four years later I left to join the new regional transit authority that had just started up and eventually became BC Transit. was inolved in a business for seven years. I have been for the past number of years a business/finance instructor at Douglas College in New Westminister. I married in 1980 and I have two children, a boy and girl who are young adults. My dad Leo passed away in 2001 and my mother , Mary ,passed away at the age of 89 in July, 2008. I enjoy hearing from former classmates and also those who I grew up with in the neighbourhood around Lougheed Hwy, Bainbridge Ave and Broadway in Burnaby.
