Update June, 2020 Hello again! Joe and I are still alive and kicking (we're homebound - can't travel) in Fort Worth! This coronavirus just has to quit! The beautiful Itasca Meridian that we bought last year sits in storage and we can't wait to get on the road again. It's a 40 ft diesel pusher and can climb any mountain we can get to, but now "she" sits - waiting. We visit and start her up once or twice a month just so everything stays good, but it's heck not to just drive off! In 2018 we finally sold our rental home in Las Vegas (absentee landlord is a pain), but we still RV back for our annual visit to participate in the Veterans Day Parade. Did you know that the Veterans Day Parade is the 2nd largest in the US after New York? We now stay at Nellis AFB fam camp which is great and we can see all of our AF friends while there. Last year we were on the road for 5 months traveling down to Key West to take care of family business for Joe - his family settled there after the Civil War and became a prominent family of doctors. Anyway, Robert the Doll is the family monster! 7 weeks later we continued up the East Coast visiting family and friends and then back to Fort Worth - and here we sit. Hopefully we'll be allowed to travel to Vegas in October and visit for a month or so. Morgan and Joe's baby girl, Victoria, is now 7!! Where is the time going? Now our great granddaughters are either learning how to drive or flying around our community on bicycles!! Are we really that old? Doesn't feel like that to my Joe or me!! We both are still very capable of driving the RV wherever and whenever we can and still love it! Of course, cruising is out - for obvious reasons - but next year may include a European river cruise. I'd really enjoy that and so would Joe! So, on we go. All of our families are well, thank God, and we pray all of yours are too. 2021 will be better. 2015 Well folks, we've moved again and this time I think it's for good! Our daughter and her family have lived in a suburb of Fort Worth, TX for about 6 1/2 years and we finally decided that we wanted to be near all of them. So, we leased out our Las Vegas home in Nov, 2014 and headed to Texas! We lived in our big 38' RV until we moved into our new home in January, 2015. We thought - again - that we would downsize, but this home is bigger than the one in Vegas!!! Anyway, we have also finally retired from real estate - for the 4th time - and are enjoying our time with family. It's great to have Sunday dinners once again with everyone sharing their days and looking forward to all of the holidays - together! I mean, isn't that what's most important? Family. However, since Joe and I have never been couch potatoes, we are becoming involved in our community - Tehama Ridge - and are hoping to contribute some of our life experiences to it. So, I ran and was elected to the HOA Board of Directors for a 2 yr term and Joe is becoming active on several committees. Of course he still participates in a couple of military associations here, but not as much as before. Now he's planning for our Spring and Summer vegetable gardens and, I hope, some flowers for me! We do wish our sons were also close by, but they are busy with their own careers in Las Vegas and Palm Springs. They do keep in touch with FaceTime, texts, and phone calls, and we already have guest room bookings for their visits. Life is good, we love our part of Texas and we're keeping busy - as usual. Stay well and laugh a lot - I think that's the secret to a good life!!!
