Georgine's Story
In 1970, I never thought that I would eventually end up in Nashville, TN. But here I am (along with Denise Finchell who actually worked in the same building as me until I moved my office). After high school and college, I ended up in grad school in southern California, did a postdoc at Northwestern, worked for a few years at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and then in Washington, DC for 5 years at the American Psychological Association. In 1989, my husband David and I moved to Vanderbilt University where we have been ever since. In fact, our offices are right next to each other.

nd an English setter, and then two golden retriever littermates. All have lived to 14 years old, and one of the goldens (Maggie Mae named after the Rod Stewart song) is still with us. We just got a 5-month-old labradoodle puppy named Jake.
We are big football fans (one of our golden retrievers was Joe after Joe Montana). Although Vanderbilt is no football powerhouse, my husband and I both have had football players in our undergrad stat classes, with some even going to the pros.
That's about it. Give us a call if you ever are in Nashville (my contact info can be found by looking me up on the Vanderbilt website). In 2015, we hope, however, to be retired from Vanderbilt and living in Santa Fe where we have two acres. So, visit soon!
