Gerald's Story

Life Graduated from many technical schools in electronics. Served 28 years 8 months in the Marine Corps working in communications and aviation electrons. While serving in Vietnam, received the Navy/Marine Corps medal for rescuing children from flood waters, also received the combat air crew wings and the air medal. Retired in 1982 as a MGySgt (E-9). structor in air traffic control radar maintenance at NATTC Memphis. Traveled to Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Hawaii. While in Okinawa, I met my wife, Mariko. We have 5 children, 17 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren, 1 greatgreatgrandchild. My wife introduced me to "Nichiren Buddhism", which I have practiced for the past 50 years.
