Gerald's Story

Life Life is strange. Finally got tired of starving in basic research so went back to school, then put my physics background to use at Amersham making radiopharmaceuticals. Drifted off from there into engineering/stats for pharmaceutical process control which is what I am doing now. Can't say that I define myself by my work because there is a lot more that interests me. Enjoy travel to Asia; Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and more locally in Costa Rica where I've spent time on-the-job. Have gotten pretty good at whitewater open canoe and have done a lot of the rivers on the Colorado Plateau. en used to being trashed in Class IV drops - that's about my limit. When working in Indonesia took up diving and enjoy Bonaire for the shore diving. Like cycling and now riding a recumbent tadpole trike after shattering a leg in an accident while riding a long wheelbase recumbent. Finally settled down after meeting my spouse, Susan, on a Sierra Club trail maintenance trip. No kids: we like to travel too much. Happily living in Libertyville, a small town to the NW of Chicago that is getting surrounded by the burbs. Life is good. College University of Michigan Purdue University UC Berkeley Workplace Michigan Cancer Foundation, Amersham/Medi Physics, Sverdrup Engineering, Hospira. Work to live, not live to work.
