Gerard's Story
After 31 years working for CIA, I "semi-retired" in 2013 and then worked on contract until '21. Since then I've been living in Williamsburg with Suzy and enjoying spending time with our children and grand children as often as possible. After St. Mary's graduation, I attended Wilkes College for a while then quit and moved to Michigan where I married Suzy. Worked locally in Detroit area factories for a while before joining the Army in '75. Learned Korean and spent a year in Korea for a total of three years military service. Attende...Expand for more
d Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mi and then worked for CIA in various foreign locations and Washington DC area. That career brought me to many countries around the world and required 11 moves, both foreign and domestic. In addition to time in Europe, I was assigned to Baghdad for a year and worked on contract in Kabul for two years. It was a fascinating career but, although I loved every move, the experience of packing and unpacking boxes got pretty old after the 7th or 8th move. Glad to be settled in Williamsburg.
