Gerry's Story
Life
Hi Gang! I grew up in Hoffman Heights (in Aurora) and attended North Jr., then South Jr. for two years. Then family moved to Northglenn late 1963, so sadly I left my Soph year to attend Thornton High School. Lucky I made lots of new friends, and upon graduation attended CSU (Green Hall) and bought a 57 Chevy.
I loved Art class at South, and my Math classes were great as well throughout my K12 experience. Majored in Math for a year at CSU, then joined the Navy and became an Electronics Technician -- working on the SPS-30 Air Search Radar.
I spent 6 years in the Navy; finished up college at MSC; and now work at StorageTek. I have many web pages out there. One about the USS Oriskany that I served on during Vietnam, and many genealogy...Expand for more

Workplace
I worked as a quality engineer and quality consultant for 14 years. I wrote the quality improvement process, problem solving process, and held QFD sessions. I then worked as a technical writer for StorageTek (and Sun) writing mostly installation and maintenance procedures for our disk storage systems.
Military
I joined the Navy in Dec 1967 and signed up for the Electronic Technology 6 year program. Attended BEEP school in San Diego, Class C and Radar school in Treasure Island (San Francisco, CA). Then I was stationed on the USS Oriskany from September 1969 to October 1973. Made 4 cruises to Vietnam and saw a lot of the world.
