Gerry's Story
I left New Jersey in 1989 when I met my wife Jane at my sister's wedding in Wichita, KS. To say it was love at first sight may be an understatement! About two months later, I packed up my Mustang and headed to Kansas.
Talk about culture shock! No mountains, no shore, but a great place to move out on my own at 21 and be married by 22!
We had a couple of years in Wichita, then moved to Southeast Kansas so I could attend Pittsburg State. Always being interested way too much in cars my whole life, I landed a great career by joining the Ford Motor Company.
I started in the Atlanta office, and Jane worked in Atlanta in a Law firm. After 3 years, I got promoted and moved to Michigan.
It has been a great ride...Expand for more
with Ford. I have learned so much in this industry, and my current assignment has to be the best I have ever had. I manage a research and development facility for the development of autobody repair procedures.
If you have a Ford car, and it gets wrecked, my job is to tell the dealer how to fix it. It is very rewarding to know we develop key procedures which help keep customers safe and happy with their cars.
For fun, I run a side business named Gerry's Classics. My main product is auto restoration, and I've always got something to do! I just finished an old Jaguar which took a regional champion trophy home for my customer.
I look forward to visting with you, feel free to bounce me an e-mail when you can.
