Gerry's Story
Life
Went to college, joined VISTA (domestic Peace Corps)afterwards, then it was graduate school, a short stint at the Navy Finance Ctr. in Cleveland, Ohio and then 29 years at the NYC Board of Ed. mostly in personnel and labor relations. I retired four years ago and currently work part time in an attorney's office.
Twenty six (26) years ago this month, in 1981, I met the man I'm spending the rest of my life with. (And to top it off, Bob is Jewish). We own a house in New Jersey, and if the New Jersey Legislature does the right thing Bob and I may get legally married.

d we have a great time these days talking politics, religion, other subjects, and trashing Dubya. I like to work, take classes, take voice lessons, sing with local opera companies (my spouse hates opera), occasionally go to the opera, and occasionally give talks on opera. I'm also a history buff. I read about and listen to lectures on history and other subjects including ones I know little about like science and math, for example. My spouse is encouraging me to take up fencing, which I may do. I have a friend in his 70s who competes nationally. It just goes to show you, you never get older, you just get better.
