Gerry's Story

Apparently, from what I have been told, I was one of your class comedians. And also according to some, I am apparently still funny. TODAY: In 2006 I started the production/multimedia company with some fellow vets, some quite famous, and we are currently working with the amazing Dale Dye, the military guy behind the movies Saving Private Ryan and Platoon. With him we are producing one of our graphic novels we published into a motion picture. To see what I am up to, just go to charliefoxtrotfilms.com or gerrykissell.com or hazmatstudios.com. THE PAST; well, not long after Gary Richardson's funeral, and after my first divorce from my teen sweetheart, I felt I needed a drastic change. So, I quit nursing school and my career as the artist at Selling Power magazine in Fredericksburg, and joined the U.S. army, serving as a combat medic during Operation Desert Storm. The last ten years I have been living in Springfield, Missouri, where I have been raising my daughter, Zoe, alone. It has been very rewarding being a single parent. She changed my life the day she came into this world. I love being a single daddy. ...Expand for more
In 2006 I started a production company called Charlie Foxtrot Entertainment, Inc., a military oriented film and multimedia company, with three other military vets, one of which is best selling author John Del Vecchio. Though we are less than a year old, we have published over a dozen books, comic books and are working on our first major motion picture with Dale Dye of "Platoon" and "Saving Private Ryan". You can check out our site at charliefoxtrotfilms.com Aside form the work I do with and for CFE, I also create cover art, comic art and video trailers advertising comic titles for IDW Publishing (IDWPublishing.com), the people who produced the comics 30 Days of Night, Transformers, 24, Star Trek, etc... They are also partners with my company, Charlie Foxtrot Entertainment, in producing military based comics. Even though it sounds like I am super busy, I still love hearing from friends from high school. I'd love to hear from more of you "old" folks. Seriously, I'd love to hear from any and all of you knuckleheads. Seems like yesterday we were walking those hallowed halls of JMHS. Time really does fly.
