Gilbert's Story
My passion after my wife, two fine sons, and grandson is the American Civil War. As a Civil War reenactor, I portray either a Confederate or Union soldier depending on the event. When I go out onto the battlefield, I can feel my ancestors watching my actions and wondering "why does he do this when he doesn't have to"? For me it's a warm feeling inside, and I hope they are proud of the impression that I portray.
