Gina's Story
Life
I am an advocate for autism awareness due to my sons, Forest (6), and Lake (4). Forest was diagnosed in May 2005 with high-functioning autism, and Lake was diagnosed last year. We're learning so many things about this disability. Today, 1 in 150 children are diagnosed, yet no one seems to know why. msupport. org, (please visit us!) which is not only a site for information about autism but a support group for other parents as well. I'm also beginning to volunteer for different events such as the Zoowalk for Autism which was held in October last year. My stepdaughter will be 14 this year, going on 21, and already full of the drama we had during our high school years!
