We have 2 daughters, Rhiannon (23) and Alexis (16). I went to IUP for a bit, went to WCCC to be a Medical Laboratory Technician, then went to UPG for Biology. I've been a lab tech for the last 15 years. I moved to the Charlotte, NC area in May 2004, then bought a house Easter Monday 2005. I married Mark Anderson of Monroe, NC in April 2007 in Las Vegas at the Bellagio fountains. School You know, I moved around a lot and attended 6 different schools between 7th and 12th grade. I don't remember 3/4 of the people that I graduated with, because I only attended Derry for 2 years...and Latrobe 2 years before that...and Obuch in Antlers, OK a year before that...and West Hempfield the Year before that...and Jeanette before that. The point is, the only people I really remember are a few from the musical (Mame) or the boys track team, since we didn't have a girls team yet. I remember a few people I regularly sat with at lunch. Here's a few of the most memorable moments... Bringing tears to Mrs. Calvo's eyes when I sang the solo for "Coventry Carol" at the Christmas concert. Keeping a journal and doing real experiments for Mr. Ebersole for Experimental Psych. I remember he gave us until midnight to turn in papers that were due without deducting points. I took one to his house and saw through his window that he was asleep on the sofa in the living room with school papers all over his floor. I didn't want to wake him up, so I went to the gas station below his neighborhood and got him some Slim Jims and a can of Jolt and left them with my paper at his front door. He is probably the teacher who had the greatest impact on me. I was very sad to read his obituary a couple of years later. I remember making crazy dance style swooping motions with my fingers in the air in Mrs. Elder's short hand class....I thought it would be good for note taking in college. I never used it again. I remember Mrs. Gundy's Spanish class in the room above the auditorium...very isolated little room. I remember racing down the hall from the cafeteria to the gym with Joe Demangone (forgive me if I have the name wrong - the year books are put away) or was it Dave Novello???...his sweats were falling off his ass and my boobs were flopping all over the place and Mr. Livingston (did anyone ever understand what that man was saying???) was laughing so hard, he was almost crying. By the way---I WON that race! ;-) I remember all the guys in track were calling me "pear" too - look guys, it's cool, and I hold no grudges. I remember the smoke ROLLING out of the girls' bathroom that was closest to the principal's. I never did get that. I remember hearing "cowabunga" one too many times in French class. I remember listening to "Imagine" by John Lennon and Mrs. Lynch (?) drawing huge diagrams and words on the blackboard in exaggerated time with the song. She gave bonus points for a summary paper about the current episode of 60 minutes each week. I remember Mrs. Werner's "American Short Stories" and "Shakespearian" classes and how fun and interesting she made them. I remember her even commenting on how the short stories class was abbreviated on our schedules as "American Sht Stories". I remember never learning anything constructive in Mr. Gourley's art class because he would leave us with a project to...Expand for more
