Ginger's Story
Life
My maiden name is Ginger Pierce. I graduated from Murphy High School in 1986 and from the University of South Alabama in 1990. I taught 5th grade in Mobile for 4 years before moving to the Birmingham area because of my husbands work. My husband is James Robison who also attended USA. We have 4 great children - 3 boys and a girl - ages 13, 10, 8, and 6. Believe it or not, I am a stay at home mom. Who would've thought? Thank goodness I stay home every day because the real fun starts at 3 when the kids get home and I put on my taxi cap. We do soccer, scholar's bowl, cub scout, boy scouts, ice skating and piano. I run all week long and I enjoy being at everything my children do. Other than raising a family, I teach a youth seminary class every morning and am involved in my church's women's organization. I love reading and playing word and puzzle games. I also l...Expand for more
ove our neighborhood and church families and don't know what I would do without them.
High School
I think I was inspired by hte hard work that Mr. Warren Williford put into his teaching. He was always so prepared and interesting and made learning fun. I tried to be like that when I taught.
College
College was great. I graduated from The University of South Alabama in 1990. I remeber walking, walking, walking because I did not have a car. Thanks to all who gave me rides. I loved taking the basketball P.E. class every quarter and being kidnapped by my friend, Khalid Abraham. I loved breakfast at the U.C. cafeteria and hanging out with my Pals when we were skipping class. I taught seminary for my church when I was a freshman and sophomore so I kept late hours and always remember being sleepy. Lots of times I fell asleep on the city bus and nearly missed my stop.
